ALT ONLUS CALL FOR APPLICATIONS 2010: FUNDING OF RESEARCH PROJECTS IN THE FIELD OF THROMBOSIS
ALT - Italian Association against Thrombosis and cardiovascular diseases is a non profit organisation based in Milan, Italy, and founded in 1987. Dr. Lidia Rota Vender is the President of the Association.
The mission of ALT Onlus is to prevent and reduce the impact of thrombosis cerebro cardiovascular-related diseases through education, information and lobbying campaigns and by financing scientific research. The association encourages an interdisciplinary approach to the prevention and treatment of thrombosis by the training of doctors, education of the public and development of research programmes.
ALT Onlus belongs to EHN - European Heart Network, an alliance of 26 European heart foundations, focused on prevention and reduction of cardiovascular diseases.
